About
Jonathan practices principally in commercial law, specialising in the areas of taxation, banking and finance, and corporations. As a mediator, he also practices in alternative dispute resolution.
He accepts briefs in all areas of law, including direct briefs from in-house counsel, government departments and accounting firms.
Before coming to the Bar, Jonathan held various senior and executive management roles within BT Financial Group, Westpac and Wesley Mission. He has over 18 years’ experience in banking and finance, including as an accountant, solicitor and board director.
He advises on a broad range of matters including taxation disputes, contracts and commercial transactions, prudential regulation, building and construction, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and government and administrative appeal.
Jonathan holds degrees in law, business, computing science and music, and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He is admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of NSW and High Court of Australia, and maintains his appointment as a Justice of the Peace.
